Flipping the classroom with Moodle wikis

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

The goals of this presentation are twofold: (1) it proposes a hybrid (online/face-to-face) learning environment consisting of wiki-based activities in which students decide what to emphasize in class discussions, according to their own needs and interests; and (2) it reports the results of a mixed methods study that measured and identified students' perceptions and attitudes towards the proposed activities via the use of a survey and oral interviews. Due to their editing abilities, cooperative nature, ease of use, and shareability, wikis are ideal tools for the implementation of the aforementioned constructivist, learner-centered environment (Karasavvidis, 2010).
